Introducing Bridge49: The Nearshoring Tech Alliance – Revolutionizing US-Mexico Trade Relations

Bridge49: The Nearshoring Tech Alliance Formed to Revolutionize US-Mexico Trade Lane

In a groundbreaking announcement, the US-Mexico Foundation (USMF) and the American Chamber/Mexico have joined forces to establish Bridge49: The Nearshoring Tech Alliance. This innovative initiative brings together six leading B2B tech companies to address critical industry challenges in logistics, procurement, supply chain tech, modern finance, and manufacturing within the US-Mexico trade lane.

The US-Mexico trade lane is one of the largest and fastest-growing in the world, with annual trade volumes exceeding $799 billion in 2023. The rise of nearshoring, where companies relocate operations closer to home for enhanced supply chain resilience and efficiency, has further emphasized the need for innovative solutions. In a significant shift, U.S. imports from Mexico surpassed those from China for the first time in over two decades, signaling a clear change in global trade dynamics.

The founding member companies of Bridge49 include Auba, Marco, Nuvocargo, Prima, Pulsar, and Transmute, each a leader in their respective fields. These companies bring expertise in predicting supply chain delays, disrupting international trade finance, modernizing logistics, manufacturing customized products, driving productivity through Industry 4.0 platforms, and automating global customs operations.

Bridge49 aims to drive thought leadership and market solutions to maximize the potential of nearshoring in the North American economic region. By producing whitepapers, reports, and research, the Alliance will provide valuable insights and best practices in the nearshoring industry. Additionally, collaboration with industry leaders will ensure that innovative solutions reach a wider audience through conferences, customer advisory councils, and executive roundtables.

Enrique Perret, Director of The US-Mexico Foundation and Chair of Bridge49, emphasized the importance of nearshoring in US-Mexico trade, stating, “Nearshoring is the future of US-Mexico trade, and Bridge49 is dedicated to paving the way with innovative solutions.” Pedro Casas Alatriste, Executive Vice President and General Director of the American Chamber/Mexico, highlighted the need to remove entry barriers and create links between growing companies and industry leaders.
