Congressman Visits RapidFlight to Discuss Drone Innovation for Defense

U.S. Congressman Rob Wittman Tours RapidFlight’s Virginia Facility, Showcasing Scalable Drone Solutions for Modern Military Strategies

U.S. Congressman Rob Wittman recently visited RapidFlight’s Virginia facility, where he toured their innovative drone manufacturing process. RapidFlight showcased their AgileAviation product, featuring over 20 UAV designs that can be quickly adapted to meet changing mission needs. Wittman emphasized the importance of scalable drone solutions for national defense, praising RapidFlight’s ability to provide operational flexibility on the battlefield.

During the tour, Wittman discussed the need for American companies to compete with foreign drone manufacturers and highlighted the role of innovative solutions in bolstering national defense strategy. RapidFlight’s Mobile Production System, capable of producing up to 28 Group 3 aircraft per month, was also showcased as a key asset for forward operating environments.

Wittman’s visit comes in the wake of his efforts to promote domestic drone development, including the passage of the American Security Drone Act. By engaging with companies like RapidFlight, Wittman aims to support emerging manufacturers in providing essential tools for the military. RapidFlight expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with elected officials to enhance national defense capabilities.
