Carlsberg Malaysia is making significant strides in future-proofing its business through a combination of technology and sustainability initiatives, as highlighted in its recently released 2023 Integrated Report.
Managing Director Stefano Clini emphasized the firm’s commitment to staying ahead in terms of digital adoption, with the completion of a state-of-the-art integrated and automated bottle filling line and the implementation of the OnePlan software application for enhanced supply chain planning and sales forecast capabilities.
Under the SAIL ’27 business plan, Carlsberg Malaysia is focusing on brewery transformation projects, with plans to install a new canning line and upgrade filtration capabilities in 2024. The company is also prioritizing portfolio premiumization, with a focus on premium brands such as 1664, Connor’s Stout Porter, and Somersby.
In terms of sustainability, Carlsberg Malaysia is actively working towards its Together Towards Zero And Beyond (TTZAB) ESG plan, which includes ambitious goals such as Zero Carbon Footprint, Zero Packaging Waste, and Zero Water Waste by 2030 or 2040. The company has identified and prioritized key material matters to address, including Product Quality and Safety, Employee Safety, and Talent Development.
