Dell Technologies Inc. Emerges as Leading Vendor for On-Premises AI Development at Major Conference

Dell Technologies Inc. has solidified its position as the go-to vendor for on-premises artificial intelligence development with a series of announcements made at its major conference in Las Vegas. The company’s global chief technology officer, John Roese, highlighted the rapid progress of AI in the past year and discussed the evolution of understanding in the AI ecosystem.

During an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, Roese, along with Dave Vellante and Savannah Peterson, discussed how quantum computing and other innovations will further advance AI. Dell has identified quantum computing as a key factor in future AI deployment, predicting a push for architectural innovation to support various workloads, including quantum computing chips.

Roese emphasized the potential impact of quantum computing on AI training and the symbiotic relationship between AI and quantum computing. Dell is also focusing on AI agents, intelligent software that can perform tasks autonomously. These AI agents are already making waves in the IT marketplace, with applications for protecting personally identifiable information and providing proscriptive help.

The company is exploring the concept of building instances of AI agents for different functions, such as virtual IT ops and marketing personnel. The question remains whether a giant engine or an army of agents will prevail in the end.

Overall, Dell Technologies is at the forefront of AI development, leveraging quantum computing and AI agents to drive innovation in the industry. The company’s commitment to advancing AI technologies positions it as a leader in the field.
