Manchester-based VSim Secures Funding from EQT Ventures, Plans to Expand Team and Target Robotics and VFX Markets

Manchester-based startup VSim, founded by former Nvidia engineers, is making waves in the tech industry as it secures funding from EQT Ventures. The company, which focuses on simulation infrastructure for computing, has big plans to target the robotics and VFX markets.

According to sources familiar with the deal, VSim is set to raise $22 million in funding, with EQT Ventures leading the round. The funding is expected to value the startup at around $100 million, showcasing the potential growth and impact of the company in the industry.

VSim’s co-founders, Michelle Lu and Kier Storey, bring a wealth of experience from their time at Nvidia, where they worked on projects like PhysX and IsaacGym. With a strong background in physics simulations, the duo is poised to drive innovation and advancements in the field.

With plans to hire 15-20 new employees, VSim is gearing up for rapid expansion and aims to reach $20 million in annual recurring revenue within the next two years. The company’s focus on high-quality simulations for industries like robotics and VFX positions them as a key player in the tech landscape.
