EY Appoints Katherine Boiciuc as Regional Chief Technology and Innovation Officer for Oceania

Professional services firm EY has announced the appointment of Katherine Boiciuc as its new regional chief technology and innovation officer for Oceania. Boiciuc, a former Telstra executive and renowned ‘futurist’, brings a wealth of experience in digital transformation and leadership development to her new role.

Boiciuc joins EY after serving as the digital transformation lead for Viva Energy and as CTO and director at Maximus International. With over two decades of experience at Telstra, Boiciuc has a proven track record of leading teams in delivering large-scale global digital transformations.

In her new role, Boiciuc will focus on leveraging new technologies to drive productivity and growth for EY clients. Oceania regional managing partner and CEO David Larocca expressed confidence in Boiciuc’s ability to create modern value for clients and help them innovate in response to disruption.

As a noted ‘futurist’ and keynote speaker, Boiciuc is considered one of the country’s leading experts on emerging technologies such as generative AI and advanced computing. She is also actively involved in discussions around the ethical, societal, and regulatory implications of AI adoption, particularly in areas like data privacy and cyber security.

With Boiciuc at the helm of technology and innovation for Oceania, EY is poised to continue driving digital transformation and supporting clients in navigating the evolving business landscape. Boiciuc’s expertise and leadership will be instrumental in guiding EY and its clients towards a future of innovation and growth.
