Prime Minister Narendra Modi Talks About Governance Philosophy and Technological Advancements

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently sat down for an exclusive interview with NDTV, where he discussed his philosophy for governance and the government’s focus on bringing about changes in bureaucracy and decision-making processes to implement big schemes using technology.

During the interview with NDTV’s Editor-in-Chief Sanjay Pugalia, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the use of technology to survey India’s approximately 1,300 islands, revealing that some islands are the same size as Singapore. He emphasized that with the help of space technology, India has the potential to build new Singapores, showcasing the country’s capabilities for infrastructural development.

The Prime Minister also touched upon the importance of the digital revolution in empowering the poor and narrowing the inequality gap, stating that India is poised to lead the world in the field of Artificial Intelligence. He emphasized the role of data in leveraging India’s diversity and highlighted the accessibility of online resources due to cheap internet in the country.

Discussing his philosophy for governance, Prime Minister Modi coined the term “P2G2” which stands for “Pro People Good Governance”. He shared an anecdote about meeting Noble Prize winner Professor Paul Romer in New York, where they discussed the importance of technology in governance and showcased India’s digital infrastructure prowess through initiatives like DigiLocker.

Overall, the Prime Minister’s insights shed light on the government’s commitment to leveraging technology for the betterment of society and the country’s potential to lead in the digital age. With a focus on citizen-centric initiatives and a vision for inclusive development, India under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership is poised for significant changes in the near future.
