Florida Venture Forum Announces Record Number of Startups Selected for 2024 Early Stage Venture Conference

The Florida Venture Forum, the largest statewide support organization for investors and entrepreneurs in Florida, has revealed that a total of 37 companies have been chosen to present at its upcoming 2024 Florida Early Stage Venture Conference. This event is scheduled to take place on June 4-5 at the Dr. Phillips Center in Orlando, and it will feature a diverse range of innovative startups, including university-level teams.

This year’s selection marks a record number of startups participating in the conference, with all but one of the companies being based in Florida. In addition to the main early-stage track, the event will also include the Statewide Collegiate Startup Competition, featuring teams from 10 colleges and universities, as well as the Space Florida AeroTech Summit, focusing on aerospace and related technologies.

According to Ben Patz, managing partner at DeepWork Capital and conference selection chair, the inclusion of multiple tracks for presenting companies will provide a platform to showcase a wide variety of innovative ventures, including those in the aerospace technology sector and collegiate startups. This diversity is expected to appeal to a broad range of early-stage investors.

Among the startups representing South Florida at the conference are Algas Organics, Cuemby, HelixVM, and Woof. These companies are working on cutting-edge solutions in areas such as sustainable packaging, cloud application deployment, healthcare productivity, and pet data management.

In addition to the startup presentations, the conference will also feature eJet Aerospace from Miami Lakes, focusing on electric aviation technology, as well as Biominer from the University of Miami and NanoSense from Florida Atlantic University, participating in the Statewide Collegiate Startup Competition.
